Hey all! Thanks for all your kind words on our six month house tour! I do feel proud of what we've accomplished so far, but I just can't wait to get going on all the other stuff on our to-do list. Making a house a home is truly a labor of love.
Just a quick post today highlighting something you may have seen on the house tour. I'm totally in love with these bottles turned vases:
They used to hold fancy sparking lemonade I bought at my local grocery store for a bridal shower I co-hosted last month. The lemonade is totally worth buying anyway, but having these pretty bottles to reuse makes the purchase even sweeter. They've got a little curve to them, which I like.
The labels soaked off easily. I bought a bouquet of flowers at the grocery store and took out three stems to put in the tops of the bottles. It's fun, colorful and a little modern. I'm a fan.
They'd also look great filled with sand or even tiny seashells -- but then of course you already know how much love putting sand in bottles!
And if you're a fan of my Facebook page, you already know that I busted out my sewing machine for the first time -- you remember, the one I got from a friend way back in March. Ahhh, it felt so good to sew something all on my own! I'll let you know what I whipped up later this week...!
I'm linking up to these great parties!
